Sample Itineraries
Deluxe Mendoza Lujan de Cuyo/ Maipu/ De Uco Valley
6 Days/ 6 days Excursión
Arrival Day
 You
will be greeted by your bilingual host or hostess at the Mendoza
airport, then driven by private car to your hotel. After checking in
at the hotel, your host will take you into the nearby wine area of
Maipú for a visit to Familia Zuccardi Winery for tour and tasting,
followed by lunch.
Afterwards, you'll have the option
of visiting another winery, La Rural and their wine museum, for
example, or returning to town for an orientation city. Your host will
leave you at the hotel to relax early evening.
Day 2
After
breakfast, a drive through the countryside to the splendid Uco Valley.
This is a rural farming and vineyard area close to the Andes and
ninety kilometers south of Mendoza City.
Your destination
is Estancia "Los Chulengos" or “Rancho e Cuero”.
Here
you will ride horseback in the mystic foothills to take in the
awe-inspiring scenery.
After the ride, you'll enjoy a
typical Argentine asado (barbecue). The asado will include roasted
prime cuts of Argentine beef, sausages, empanadas, fresh salads and
bread, everything home made! and of course, a splendid selection of
Mendocinean wines. Late afternoon, your host will drive you
back to your hotel.
Day 3
Breakfast at the hotel, then your host will pick you up for a
beautiful drive south into the heart of the Mendoza wine country,
Luján de Cuyo area. First stopping off at Alta Vista Winery for a tour
and tasting. Then on to Cavas de Weinert Winery for tour and tasting.
Then drive to Ruca Malen Winery for lunch, tour and tasting. After
lunch there are a variety of options that include simply relaxing, a
cultural or city tour, or visiting another winery. Afternoon visits
can be at the Catena Zapata Winery, Dolium, Séptima, or Chandon Winery
to taste sparkling wines.
Day 4
After
breakfast, your host will pick you up at your hotel and drive southern
Mendoza to the well known Uco Valley, this is a splendid area where
you will enjoy the vineyards and the glacier-capped Andes, first
stopping off at Salentein Winery, here you will have tour and tasting,
then you will continue to Lurton Winery where you will love to meet
Marcos, a perfect wine host. Here you will also have a tour and a
very special tasting at the winery! From Lurton Winery you will try
the best meals at Posada del Jamon restaurant, a local restaurant in
the area. After lunch we can either stop at any winery on our way back
to the city or just go back to the hotel and relax, enjoy a massage or
request for tango Lessons at your hotel. Other wineries visits can be
Andeluna or Altus
Day 5
Breakfast at your hotel, then your host will pick you up at the hotel
and drive nearby Mendoza city into an old “casona” nearby the city of
Mendoza, a typical mendocinean house where you will enjoy a full day
of different activities where wine, food, Tango and art are the
perfect blend for this day. The activities included are: Cooking class
where you can learn the art of Argentinean cooking and then enjoy the
results, everything from empanadas to meats and breads. Learn
Argentine grilling techniques, and special ways to prepare beef,
followed by tasting lessons, if you are not an expert you will enjoy
learning about wines and how to taste them. During lunch you will
enjoy watching a tango show .Tango is a living thing, constantly
evolving, and no two people are quite the same to dance with. We
invite you to discover the style and technique that gives you the most
joy. Art Painting, sculpture, crafts, architecture, and more...during
your visit.
Late
afternoon, your host will drive you back to your hotel.
Day 6
Breakfast at your hotel. then your host will escort you back to
Mendoza International Airport and help you with your check-in for your
departure. If you have an evening departure, more activities or winery
visits can be scheduled this day.
