You can take a private cooking lesson at the chef’s home, at your hotel, or at a winery.

Some cooking classes also include a visit to local food markets; if you wish, a chef can take you to Mendoza’s famous Central Market, where you will learn about the specialty shops there, and maybe buying some ingredients to prepare your delicious meal after touring the market. You can attend an interactive cooking workshop where you will taste the menu prepared at the class accompanied by delicious Mendocinian wines.

Mendocinian cuisine is very similar to traditional Argentinean cuisine. Some of the most delicious traditional dishes are empanadas (meat pies filled with varying combinations of ground beef, chopped onions, boiled eggs, green olives, salt, pepper, and chili), barbecued meat made with chimichurri sauce and grilled vegetables and Tabletón Mendocino (a cookie-like sandwich filled with dulce de leche) for dessert.
